Autumn Lights Festival 2023
What are the dates of this year’s festival?
Three exciting nights starting on Thursday, October 12th thru Saturday the 14th.
Will this year’s festival be in person or online/virtual and what can we expect to view?
This year’s event will be in-person at the Gardens at Lake Merritt. It is a celebration of art and nature. More than 100 gifted local artists will create and display the art in our beloved garden. It is going to be a spectacular three nights of cutting-edge illuminated art displays (many new to the festival this year), with mesmerizing color and dimension!
Will there be an admission fee or is the event free to the public?
In appreciation for your continued support, we are making it this year’s Autumn Lights Festival tickets will be:

Friends of the Gardens at Lake Merritt is a small, volunteer-driven nonprofit. Proceeds from the event go to support these volunteers and for garden infrastructure.
Will there be any art for sale?
Yes. There will be an Art Market each night and our festival website includes links to many of the artist websites where you can purchase art. The wonderful artists of Autumn Lights generously donate their time and talent in support of the Gardens at Lake Merritt.
