November Garden Events
Free Garden Tours November 5 and November 19 at 10:00am. These free, docent-led tours feature the Gardens’ unique horticultural collections. The 30-minute tours are designed for the entire family. Kids will love it. The tour begins at the Sensory Garden.
Orchid Society Show in the Lakeside Park Garden Center, Saturday and Sunday, November 5 and 6, 10:00am to 5:00pm.
Community Volunteer Work Party Events
November 5, Saturday- 9am-12pm: Overall Gardens and the Mediterranean Garden
November 19, Saturday- 9am-12pm: Palmetum, Rhododendron, and Sensory Gardens
Bring your gloves, favorite garden tool, and a friend. When volunteering, receive a parking pass at the kiosk by telling the attendant you are with the Friends of the Gardens at Lake Merritt
Log Your Volunteer Hours
Visit the OurVolts website here and then click the specific garden listed on the right of the OurVolts group page to log your hours.
Tracking your volunteer hours helps the Gardens apply for much needed grants and funding opportunities.
